Vitamins are organic molecules which means they are made by animals, plants or bacteria and contain carbon in their structure. Vitamins are micronutrients, in other words, our organism needs them in small quantities. At the same time we really need those little quantities from the day we were born and deficiency of the vitamins usually leads to serious diseases. Vitamins have their recommended dietary allowance and upper intake level norms. The overdose of some of the vitamins can also result in diseases.
